How We Choose the Providers We Recommend
We built the checklist we use ourselves into a page, so you can see exactly what we look for and hold us to it.
SLC Semaglutide may earn a commission when you sign up with a provider through a link on this site. That doesn’t change the price you pay, and it doesn’t change which providers we’re willing to link to. We turn down more GLP-1 affiliate programs than we join — most of what’s available in this space doesn’t meet our own bar.
What we check before linking to any provider
Same five criteria, every time — see the full vetting checklist for detail on each.
- Named pharmacy. We want to know exactly who is compounding or dispensing the medication, not just the brand doing the marketing.
- Named, licensed medical team. A real, checkable medical license behind every prescription — not an anonymous “medical advisory board.”
- LegitScript certification. Baseline, not optional.
- Transparent pricing. The real ongoing monthly cost has to be visible before intake, not revealed after.
- Honest claims. No implying a compounded product is equivalent to an FDA-approved one. No self-published reviews dressed up as independent coverage.
Where we stand today
As of August 2026, one partnership is live: Embody, the single compounded-GLP-1 provider that met every criterion above out of the roughly 49 programs we screened. That means links to Embody on this site are paid affiliate links, disclosed plainly on each page that carries one — you can read the full assessment, including the cautions, in our Embody GLP-1 review. Partnerships with branded-telehealth providers for FDA-approved medications are still pending approval and aren’t earning us anything yet.
We’d rather be slow and honest about this than fast and vague. If a provider we’ve vetted later fails one of the five checks above — a disciplinary action, a pharmacy change we can’t verify, a marketing claim that crosses a line — we’ll pull the link.
And because “no pay-for-placement” is easy to claim and hard to prove, we keep receipts: see the GLP-1 programs we declined to recommend — including ones that approved us and would have paid us.
